Who we are

SNAPD is provided by NSOLR Ltd. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@snapdapp.co.uk. This notice describes SNAPD 0.4, updated 27 September 2026.

Screenshots and reminders

Images you import, recognised text, dates, times and reminders are stored in the app on this device. Text recognition runs locally using Apple Vision on iPhone. SNAPD does not upload this content to an AI service, Firebase database or our servers. There is no SNAPD cloud sync. Your device backup settings may include app data.

Optional sign-in

You can use SNAPD without an account. If you choose Apple or Google, Firebase Authentication processes your account identifier, the name and email shared by that provider, and authentication tokens to sign you in. Apple may provide a private relay email. The sign-in services also process technical connection and security information, including IP addresses and user-agent information. We do not receive your Apple or Google password. Signing in does not back up your reminders.

Photo access and alerts

The photo picker gives SNAPD only the image you select. If you enable Find new screenshots, the app checks the screenshots accessible to it when you open or refresh it. Limited Photos access means it can only see your selected images. It does not silently import, upload or delete your Photos originals. You can turn discovery off or change permission in device Settings. Notifications are optional and scheduled on your device; reminder titles may appear on the lock screen according to your notification settings.

Face ID and Touch ID

When enabled, app lock automatically asks your device to confirm your identity when you open or return to SNAPD, with device passcode fallback. Cancelling leaves the app locked with a retry button. SNAPD receives a success or failure result, never your face, fingerprint or passcode. App lock does not create a new online account or add separate encryption to your files. When enabled, the iPhone app switcher preview is obscured.

Why we use information

We use the information needed to provide the features you request and optional account access, on the basis of providing our service to you. We use necessary security information for our legitimate interest in protecting accounts and preventing abuse. Photo discovery and notifications remain your choice and can be disabled at any time. There is no advertising, cross-app tracking, sale of personal information or built-in analytics SDK in this version.

Service providers and location

Apple and Google handle their sign-in services under their own privacy terms. Google provides Firebase Authentication and processes authentication data in the United States. Google’s data processing terms describe international transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum where applicable. Contact us for information about applicable safeguards. Apple also processes TestFlight installation, diagnostics and feedback data during beta testing under its terms.

Retention and deletion

Local reminders remain until you delete them or clear app data. Signing out leaves device reminders available. Clear local data removes imported images, reminders and scheduled alerts; Photos originals are kept. Delete account in Settings removes the Firebase account and this device’s app content after you confirm your provider sign-in. Firebase states that authentication information is removed from live and backup systems within 180 days of initiated deletion; authentication IP logs are kept for a few weeks. Device backups and Apple or Google account records are managed separately by those services.

Your choices and rights

Contact us to request access, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy of personal data we hold, where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Permission can be withdrawn in the app or device Settings without affecting earlier lawful processing. We cannot recover locally stored screenshots from our servers because we do not receive them. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk or your local data protection authority.

Changes

If SNAPD adds cloud sync, payments or another use of data, we will update this notice and explain the change before that feature is used. This version does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

This notice covers the SNAPD app. The website’s early-access and support forms have a separate notice, available from the website footer.
